The Final Days
The Blue Jays, in fitting fashion, gave legendary manager Cito Gaston a celebration of a brilliant career that will end this weekend when he retires. Gaston guided the Jays to back-to-back World Championships in 1992 and 1993.
The Yankees need to bring their play up a notch, otherwise they can be ousted in the first round of the playoffs.
As we go into the Fall Classic the best teams will prevail. Until then, though, we must wait, watch and see.
Until then, see ya at the park.

All Teams Sould Look at the White Sox
All teams now rebuilding during the long winter months, should take a look at the 2005 World Champion White Sox. The Chisox have built a team around talent, hard-workers and many players dedicated to the game. There are no individuals or "I-team" players on the White Sox. There are no statement-makers, cry-babies or media-hounds. They have grit, worked hard and should be a model for all teams to look at while they rebuild for the upcoming 2006 season.
All teams beware, the Chiosox could repeat.
The World Series
Welcome…this will be my little diary on the greatest game ever played. The Chicago White Sox are indeed the real champions — they played as a team and won the 2005 World Series. Hat’s off to Ozzie Guillen and the whole 2005 World Champion White Sox. This is a little special for me, because I also attended New York Tech (class of 1993) as did the Sox’s Pitching Coach Don Cooper. It would be great to see him with the Yankees, but I think he’s probably going to stay in Chicago. Anyway, Don, great job!
