Good Times…
Two good things happened in NY…the Yankees won and they found the missing cobra.
Yankees Make It
After what seemed to be a few weeks of uncertain play, the Yankees finally make it to the post season.
Don’t discount Tampa Bay either, because they are in the hunt and have a damn good team. If anything, they’ve been a pebble in the Yankees’ shoes.
Mets Done
Now that their season is over, the Mets will be making changes drastically. From the GM, manager on down. A disappointing season for a team with one of the best new stadiums in baseball.
Until then, see ya at the park!
NY Baseball in September
The Yankees making it, but Tampa Bay
breathing down their back. The Mets are done and so is the
manager, GM, coaching staff.
Yankees 2010 Projected Line-up
Yankees manager Joe Girardi has announced his projected line-up for the 2010 season. Here it is: 1. Derek Jeter, SS Until then, see ya at the park!
2. Nick Johnson, DH
3. Mark Teixeira, 1B
4. Alex Rodriguez, 3B
5. Robinson Cano, 2B
6. Jorge Posada, C
7. Curtis Granderson, OF
8. Nick Swisher, OF
9. Brett Gardner, OF
Spring Training 2010
The Mets can’t catch a break with their players headed to the disabled list. Jose Reyes, who was out most of last season, is having his thyroid tested because of a possible imbalance. I hope this is not a sign of the Mets upcoming season. Last season for the Mets was one to forget, with almost the whole team going on the disabled list at one-point during the season. The crosstown rival Yankees are still trying to get the off-season kinks out. Joba Chamberlain and Phil Hughes were less than impressive in a 12-7 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays. Also, Nick Johnson is hoping to return to action after experiencing back stiffness. Until then, see ya at Spring Training!
Mets Need Help
This season was the Mets until they took a steep nose dive with injuries, no team chemistry and players under performing. They need help and they need it fast. The Yankees mean while are neck-and-neck with the Red Sox for first place in the AL East. This scribe is surprised but way to go. Been on hiatus as I vacation and write my book, which takes time, time and more time. The book is slowly, and I stress, slowly coming along. Until then, see ya at the park!
PSAL at Yankee Stadium
Went to the New York City PSAL Baseball Championships at Yankee Stadium last Tuesday and what a treat it was. My girlfriend works for the Board of Education and the tickets were free. Though I’ll never be able to get the seats I had at a regular Yankees’ game, I sat in section 119 right behind the Legends seating at home plate. What a view!
Dugout Quotes
Here’s another inspiring baseball quote:
Fenway Bombs
What everyone thought was a win for the Yankees, turned into another loss as the Red Sox slammed the Yankees 16-11, after the Yankees were winning 6-0. The Yankees need bullpen help and should put Joba back in the bullpen. The Yankees should also consider signing Pedro Martinez. They need all the help they can get. If this continues, Joe Girardi will be looking for a new job real soon.
